SUMMARY

"Each Kindness" by Jacqueline Woodson is a poignant story that explores the impact of kindness and missed opportunities for compassion. The book follows Chloe, a young girl who initially ignores and rejects the friendship of a new student named Maya. As Chloe and her classmates participate in small acts of unkindness towards Maya, they learn about the concept of kindness from their teacher. However, it is too late for Chloe to make amends, as Maya's family moves away and Chloe is left with a profound sense of regret. The book serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy, kindness, and the lasting effects of our actions on others. It encourages readers to reflect on their own behaviors and to seize every opportunity to be kind and inclusive.
