SUMMARY

In "Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas" by Natasha Yim, Goldy Luck, a young girl, is assigned the task of delivering a plate of turnip cakes to her neighbors for Chinese New Year. However, a series of mishaps leads her to the home of the Lee family, who happen to be pandas. Like the traditional "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" story, Goldy Luck finds herself trying out their belongings - their chairs, porridge, and beds - while the Lee family is away. However, she accidentally breaks Baby Lee's rocking chair and tries to fix it before they return. When the Lees discover Goldy Luck, they forgive her and invite her to celebrate the New Year with them, creating a new friendship and teaching Goldy Luck the importance of honesty and kindness. Natasha Yim's charming retelling of the classic tale introduces readers to Chinese New Year traditions, while Grace Zong's beautiful illustrations bring the story to life with vibrant colors and expressive characters.
