SUMMARY

"Kitten's First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes is a delightful and heartwarming picture book that follows the adventure of a curious little kitten. Believing that the full moon is a bowl of milk, the kitten sets out on a quest to reach it. As she encounters various obstacles and misunderstandings, the kitten becomes more determined to reach her goal. She jumps at the moon, chases it, and even tries to lap up the milk from a pond. However, no matter what she does, the moon remains out of reach. Finally, tired and disappointed, the kitten returns home to find a surprising and satisfying surprise—a bowl of milk on her porch. This beautifully illustrated story celebrates the innocence and curiosity of young minds and teaches children the valuable lesson of appreciating what they already have.
