SUMMARY

"Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker" by Christianne Jones is a delightful and relatable children's book that follows the story of Lacey, a young owl who simply cannot stop talking. Lacey talks so much that it becomes difficult for her to get tasks done, others to get a word in, and her nonstop talking starts to affect her friendships. One day Lucy wakes up and tries to talk but realizes that she lost her voice! through this experience, Lucy begins to understand the value of listening to others and taking the time to enjoy and responsibly use her time. With the help of her teacher, friends and family, Lacey learns important lessons about communication, empathy, and the importance of having a balance between talking and listening. The book is an engaging and humorous tale that encourages young readers to consider the impact of their words on those around them, while also understanding the impact of just being a listener.
