SUMMARY

"Mindful Mr. Sloth" by Katy Hudson, is about a young girl named Shasha who is impatient and always moving at a fast speed. One day Shasha hears a noice and finds a sloth on her tree house and decides they will become best friends. Shasha becomes impatient with how slow the sloth moves but problem solves so that she can still move fast and have fun. At the end of the day the big neighborhood race begins and Sasha is moving as fast as she can to win but her new sloth friend keeps stopping her to hear the birds or smell the flowers. Sasha finally stops and listens to the sloth and learns to be more in tune with her surroundings and appreciates the beauty of nature. Through colorful illustrations and gentle storytelling, the book "Mindful Mr. Sloth" teaches young readers about the benefits of mindfulness and the importance of accepting and valuing individual differences.
