"We Don't Lose Our Class Goldfish" by Ryan T. Higgins is a hilarious and heartwarming children's book that follows a group of students who each are assigned to take their class goldfish, Walter home for the weekend. Everyone is so excited for their turn to take Walter home, except Penelope who is scared of the class fish. When it's finally Penelope's turn she struggles to take care of Walter until one night he goes missing! Worried sick, Penelope uses her creative thinking, perseverance, and determination to finally find Walter. After conquering her fear of Walter and getting through a worrisome situation, Penelope becomes inspired to face more fears of hers! Through witty storytelling and amusing illustrations, the book "We Don't Lose Our Class Goldfish" celebrates the boundless imagination and loyalty of children and a lesson on how to be brave, persevere and conquer your fears.
