SUMMARY
"My Teacher is a Monster!" by Peter Brown tells the story of a young boy named Bobby who sees his teacher, Ms. Kirby, as a terrifying monster. Ms. Kirby is strict, constantly scolding Bobby, and seems to enjoy her monstrous behavior. However, one day while Bobby is at the park, he encounters his teacher outside of the classroom and realizes that she is not the scary monster he thought she was. They spend time together and Bobby begins to see Ms. Kirby in a new light, realizing that she is kind, fun, and caring. The story explores the theme of perspective and the transformative power of understanding and empathy. In the end, Bobby's perspective of his teacher completely changes, and he comes to appreciate her as a human being rather than a monster.
